OFQUAL Accredited MHFA course
This course is aimed at people who work with children and young people. It is very similar to the adult mental health first aid model but specifically looks at issues around young people’s mental health, how to approach the issues and supporting them in seeking professional support. You will also be given instruction of how to work on a mental health CARE plan with the young person and be given information of where to signpost the young person who may be suffering from a mental health condition.
The course also covers Suicide and self harm in young people and how to approach this in a supporting way.
